This project consisted of a combination of a watermain replacement to address aging grey PVC pipe that had become brittle and prone to breaks. Additionally, topography resulted in a signficant pressure variation within the portion of an existing zone. The preferred alternative was the installation of two SCADA monitored hydraulically actuated pressure reducing valves in pre-fabricated chambers. The project was tendered and delivered in a single construction season.
