The existing pavements at Queenston Place in Hamilton were found to be distressed to the point of complete failure of the asphalt pavements in many locations of the heavily trafficked main front parking areas.
Asphalt layer reconstruction with localized granular base repair was undertaken as the pavement rehabilitation strategy and minor grading adjustments were made to improve surface drainage where possible.
The project was undertaken in three phases to maintain parking and patron access to the retail stores of the shopping plaza.
WT prepared tender drawings and specifications for the replacement of the asphalt pavements, assisted with the tendering process and provided contract administration and site review of the project work.
