WT was retained by the City of Guelph to evaluate the condition and hydraulic efficiency of the Manor Park and Municipal Street Sanitary Siphons. As with many siphon designs, the peak flow dictated the original design and did not address the more frequent low and average flows. This results in the risk of sedimentation and plugging of the siphon. Our team completed an evaluation and recommendations regarding the operation, maintenance, and preferred alternatives to upgrade the systems to rehabilitate and improve the hydraulic operation of the system.
